It's available in three different widths and lengths of 80.5' and 150' to meet your needs: 6-1/8", 7-1/2" and 8-5/8". It features a 1 mm intumescent layer in a 3.5 mil polyethylene shell that can expand at a ratio of 15:1. This very thin profile allows you to add it in during construction without having to sort out any significant changes in dimension, making installation effortless. It has an indefinite shelf life, an anticipated lifespan of over 30 years and has a Sound Transmission Classification of 50 in two separate acoustic wall tests. Two of the products in this line, the TTG350F and TTG600F, come with pre-folded flaps, making it even easier to lay in place.
It works very well right out of the box, laying down in a fashion similar to most building tapes and lightweight membranes. With no caulking required for standard installations, this product helps you to avoid a second trip to the job site and the costly, dangerous trips up a ladder or scissors lift for your crew. There is virtually no waste in this water-resistant sealant product. It's designed so that it won't sag, gap or drip and is very easy to cut with a simple pair of scissors or a sharp knife. You just have to peel off the backing, stick it to the framing members you're creating a seal on and get on with the job.
